Gold Drop vape carts offer light effects from the onset with a low-to-medium head high persisting for around 40 minutes. The effects start to wind down at the 30-minute mark. Light tranquility and bliss remain with you until the end.
In terms of substance, the packaging Gold Drop vape carts come in is pretty standard. The brand uses the same type of holofoil found in children’s trading cards, however, to draw attention to the rich, lush graphics on the front of every mylar envelope.
The carts themselves are also pretty original. Gold Drop Liquid Diamonds cartridges simply have black tips, but carts in the Liquid Loud series feature attractive, translucent tips that match the “vibe” of the strain and again capture the same type of interest that you once had in toy-aisle displays.
Nothing about the flavor that came out of our Gold Drop vape pens was unpleasant. We almost would have welcomed a somewhat unsettling flavor, however, over the disappointing mediocrity we instead experienced.
A cart that is specifically labeled “loud” should definitely be louder than this. At a glance, the overall terpene counts in Gold Drop vapes appear to be high enough, but something is happening in the production process that is essentially denaturing their terpenes of all flavor.
The packaging date was 03/26/2023. When we opened the Gold Drop vapes two months after the packaging date, the oil was not hard and easy to vape. The packaging directions state that the cartridges should be stored at a lower temperature. This will help preserve the shelf life.

Gold Drop is a cannabis brand that knows how to make a big splash. Owned and founded by San Francisco-area CEO Joseph Encinosa, Gold Drop will be well-known to anyone who has frequented California cannabis circles on LinkedIn over the last few years. Often posting buying-and-selling ads, Encinosa is clearly all about “the hustle,” an ethos that carries forward into the presentation of his cannabis brand.
Frequent press releases boast about new Gold Drop product launches and awards. Apparently Gold Drop is the most popular THC concentrate brand in California, but based on what? We don’t get to know, just like we don’t get to know how a vape cartridge with the “highest terpene content available on the market” could put out a flavor this middling.
As far as dab cart brands go, we’ve seen nothing to indicate that Gold Drop is in any way number one. We would recommend Raw Garden vapes as a truly flavorful alternative.
You’ll probably only be a big fan of Gold Drop vape carts if you don’t know a lot about cannabis. Connoisseurs will tolerate the disappointing flavor of these carts, but only to a degree. Those seeking reliable quality should probably look elsewhere or at least stick to the brand’s high-potency Liquid Diamond vapes.
