How do you combine cannabis, coffee, and doughnuts into a single chocolate bar? In the case of this CODA Signature Coffee & Doughnuts THC Bar, you achieve this task by blending creamy milk chocolate, espresso beans, and toasted milk and then dusting the entire bar with cinnamon sugar.

The toasted milk approximates the flavor of scalded milk in coffee, and the cinnamon sugar is reminiscent of old-school cinnamon doughnuts. While the chocolate itself was soft and creamy, the cinnamon sugar was hard and crunchy, providing the balance of opposites for which CODA Signature is so well known within the cannabis edible industry.

As with other CODA Signature products, our Coffee & Doughnuts Chocolate Bar didn’t have any noticeable cannabis taste. While it’s certainly true that this flavor could simply have been covered up by the potent tastes of coffee and chocolate, we think this THC subtlety is more due to the fact that CODA uses high-quality, purified cannabis distillate in its products, which doesn’t have much of a flavor.

Activation Time

Like all THC edibles, our CODA Signature Coffee & Doughnuts Chocolate Bar took a little while to kick in. We noticed the primary effects of our THC chocolate bar set in within around 40 minutes, and they lasted for around 90 minutes.

It’s possible that the effects of our CODA Signature chocolate bar would have been more profound if we’d eaten more chocolate, but three squares was enough to make us feel like we might enter cacao overload. Since each square contains 5mg THC, we consumed 15mg THC total, which is a relatively small dose for edibles.

The effects of our CODA Signature Coffee & Doughnuts Chocolate Bar were pretty mild, but they weren’t so mild as to be nonexistent.
