For the quality of ingredients, we commend Kiva Confections for keeping the price of its Lost Farm line low. Despite touching more on connoisseur sensibilities, Lost Farms products are available for roughly the same price as other Kiva Confections edibles.
It’s a Starburst-esque gummy with a light cannabis flavor and a funky plant-like texture. It wasn’t Blair’s favorite Kiva gummy, and it’s interesting that Kiva offers two such distinctly different types of gummies (the circular and Starburst-shaped) in a single line.
The extract in the Kiva Confections Lost Farm Blueberry Chews is derived entirely from Blue Dream plants, so it’s also our main focus here. Most cannabis edibles contain nondescript distillate or isolate THC, so focusing more on extract quality is a huge breath of fresh air.
Live resin extraction preserves the terpenes naturally present in cannabis flower the best — terpenes have special benefits that might dovetail with the benefits of THC to unlock new powers. Plus, it’s often the cleanest extract type, and it usually tastes the best.
In an effort to make their gummies cleaner and truer-to-plant, Kiva Confections skipped some of the usual niceties with Lost Farm. Less-seasoned explorers of the cannabinoid jungle beware.
We recommend that you chew up 1-2 Kiva Confections Lost Farm edibles every five hours or so.
Blair doesn’t recommend the Kiva Confections Lost Farm Blueberry Chews, and I might agree. I will say, though, that one person’s trash is another’s treasure — if you don’t care as much about sweetness and soft textures, you might appreciate the bold and brash approach Lost Farm takes to the cannabis edible game. Also, if you’re new to cannabis, you won’t know the difference.
Yes, one of the major selling points of Kiva Lost Farm Chews is that each flavor contains live resin extract derived from a single popular strain. As a result, these chews taste more potently “cannabis-y” than other edibles and might offer extra benefits.
